Quantencomputing und -sensorik bieten neben exzellenter Grundlagenforschung auch die Verbindung zu praktischen Aspekten der Ingenieurwissenschaften. Damit werden die Ergebnisse anwendungstauglich und als zukunftsweisende Innovationen markttauglich. Beispiele sind fingernagel-kleine Quantenprozessoren auf Basis photonischer Chips oder Quantensensoren, die Pr\u00e4zision in den Bereichen Mobilit\u00e4t, Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit sowie Biomedizintechnik liefern.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201eDie Universit\u00e4t Stuttgart ist ein zentraler Standort der Quantenwissenschaften in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg und aufgrund ihrer gro\u00dfen Expertise auch eng in die Entstehung unserer landesweiten Quantenstrategie eingebunden. Die Anwendungsm\u00f6glichkeiten der heute vorgestellten Technologien sind wirklich beeindruckend\u201c, sagte Ministerin Olschowski.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">Im Rahmen des Zukunftscluster \u201eQsens\u201c ist das IMS CHIPS an den Projekten QVOL, QSCALE und QIND beteiligt. In diesen Projekten soll anwendungsgetrieben an der Markteinf\u00fchrung der Quantensensorik in den Bereichen (Bio-)medizintechnik, Industriesensorik und Sensoren f\u00fcr die Forschung gearbeitet, sowie skalierbare Fertigungsm\u00f6glichkeiten aufzeigt werden.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">PhotonQ ist ein weiteres Projekt an dem IMS CHIPS beteiligt ist. In diesem Projekt soll ein Prozessor f\u00fcr einen messbasierten, photonischen Quantencomputer entwickelt werden. Der messbasierte, photonische Quantencomputer beruht auf einem anderen Funktionsprinzip als die gatterbasierten Quantenrechner (die beispielweise auf supraleitenden Schaltkreisen oder auf Ionenfallen aufbauen).
