Der Chip verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber tausende winzige vergoldete Elektroden, die als Matrix auf der Chip-Oberfl\u00e4che angeordnet \u00fcber in den Chip integrierte Elektronik digital angesteuert werden k\u00f6nnen. Auf diese Weise k\u00f6nnen in einer Fl\u00fcssigkeit \u00fcber den Elektroden gezielt Mikrobl\u00e4schen erzeugt werden, mit denen sich wiederum Ultraschallwellen r\u00e4umlich modulieren lassen, was zu einem holografischen Bildeindruck f\u00fchrt.
