Mikroelektronik-\u00d6kosystem Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Im Verbundprojekt <strong>FRAUKE <\/strong>1 (Fraunhofer KI Entwurf Heilbronn 2026-2027 Startprojekt FRAUKE 1) bringt IMS CHIPS seine langj\u00e4hrige Expertise in der CMOS-Technologie und der anwendungsnahen Mikroelektronikforschung ein, um die zuk\u00fcnftige Entwicklung von KI-Chips in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg strategisch mitzugestalten. Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeiten steht die Analyse technologischer Entwicklungen sowie die Erarbeitung von Roadmaps f\u00fcr moderne CMOS- und Chiplet-Technologien, die k\u00fcnftig die Grundlage leistungsf\u00e4higer und energieeffizienter KI-Hardware bilden werden.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus unterst\u00fctzt IMS CHIPS den Aufbau eines landesweiten Innovationsnetzwerks f\u00fcr die Chipentwicklung und Chipfertigung. Ziel ist es, Forschungseinrichtungen, Unternehmen und weitere Akteure der Mikroelektronikbranche enger zu vernetzen und gemeinsam Perspektiven f\u00fcr zuk\u00fcnftige Halbleitertechnologien zu entwickeln. Die Projektlaufzeit erstreckt sich von Februar 2026 bis Dezember 2027. Das Ministerium f\u00fcr Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Tourismus Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg f\u00f6rdert das Vorhaben mit rund 2 Millionen Euro.<\/p>\n<p>Ziel des Projekts ist die Entwicklung strategischer Grundlagen f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chste Generation digitaler Halbleitertechnologien. Hierf\u00fcr werden Roadmaps f\u00fcr die Bereiche CMOS-Fertigung und Chiplet-Technologien erarbeitet, die insbesondere auf Anwendungen der K\u00fcnstlichen Intelligenz ausgerichtet sind. Gleichzeitig werden Konzepte f\u00fcr eine landesweite Plattform zur CMOS-Chipentwicklung und -fertigung entwickelt, um vorhandene Kompetenzen aus Wissenschaft und Industrie zusammenzuf\u00fchren und den Wissenstransfer zu beschleunigen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Entwicklung leistungsf\u00e4higer und energieeffizienter Chips z\u00e4hlt zu den entscheidenden Zukunftsthemen f\u00fcr Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg. Schl\u00fcsselbranchen wie Automobilindustrie, Maschinenbau, Automatisierungstechnik und industrielle Digitalisierung sind zunehmend auf innovative Halbleiterl\u00f6sungen angewiesen. FRAUKE schafft hierf\u00fcr wichtige strategische Grundlagen und st\u00e4rkt die technologische Souver\u00e4nit\u00e4t des Landes im Bereich Mikroelektronik.<\/p>\n<p>Das Projekt ist eng mit den Aktivit\u00e4ten des Innovationsparks f\u00fcr K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz (IPAI) in Heilbronn sowie der Landesinitiative \u201eChip Connect BW\u201c verkn\u00fcpft. Gemeinsam mit weiteren Partnern aus Forschung, Wirtschaft und Politik entsteht ein leistungsf\u00e4higes Netzwerk, das Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg als f\u00fchrenden Standort f\u00fcr Mikroelektronik, Halbleitertechnologien und KI-gest\u00fctzte Chipentwicklung weiter ausbaut.<\/p>\n<p>Mit seiner Beteiligung an FRAUKE 1 tr\u00e4gt IMS CHIPS dazu bei, technologische Zukunftsfelder fr\u00fchzeitig zu identifizieren, Forschungs- und Entwicklungsaktivit\u00e4ten strategisch auszurichten und die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Wissenschaft und Industrie nachhaltig zu st\u00e4rken. Damit leistet das Institut einen wichtigen Beitrag zur langfristigen Wettbewerbsf\u00e4higkeit und Innovationskraft des Mikroelektronikstandorts
