21. Mai 2026 fand in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA) die Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO) statt \u2013 eine der weltweit f\u00fchrenden Konferenzen f\u00fcr Laserwissenschaften und Photonik.<\/p><p>Mit rund 2.500 Teilnehmenden aus 40 L\u00e4ndern, 90 Ausstellern und umfangreichen Networking-Formaten brachte die Veranstaltung internationale Expertinnen und Experten aus Wissenschaft und Industrie zusammen.<\/p><p>Unser Institut wurde vor Ort durch Institutsleiter Prof. Dr. Niels Quack vertreten, der sich auf mehreren Ebenen aktiv in die internationale Fachcommunity einbrachte.<\/p><p>Neben seiner Teilnahme an der Konferenz wirkte Prof. Dr. Niels Quack im Programmkomitee des Tracks \u201eScience &amp; Innovation \u2013 Micro- and Nano-Photonic Devices\u201c mit und \u00fcbernahm als Session Chair Verantwortung f\u00fcr die Sessions \u201eOn-Chip Optomechanics\u201c sowie \u201eThin-Film Lithium Niobate Devices\u201c.<\/p><p>Ein besonderer H\u00f6hepunkt war zudem die Ehrung als CLEO Fellow 2026. Im Rahmen der Konferenz wurden insgesamt 11 Fellows 2026 ausgezeichnet \u2013 darunter auch Prof. Dr. Niels Quack.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6f01677 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6f01677\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Die Fellow-Auszeichnung z\u00e4hlt zu den bedeutendsten wissenschaftlichen Anerkennungen innerhalb der internationalen Fachgemeinschaft und w\u00fcrdigt herausragende Beitr\u00e4ge zu Forschung, Innovation und wissenschaftlicher Weiterentwicklung eines Fachgebiets.<\/p><p>Wir gratulieren Prof. Dr. Niels Quack herzlich zu dieser besonderen Auszeichnung und danken Ihm f\u00fcr die aktive Mitgestaltung internationaler Fachveranstaltungen. Dies st\u00e4rkt unsere Sichtbarkeit und f\u00f6rdert den wissenschaftlichen Austausch in zentralen Zukunftsfeldern der Photonik.
