Damit wurde ein wichtiger Meilenstein f\u00fcr die Weiterentwicklung photonischer KI-Technologien in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg gesetzt \u2013 und wir k\u00f6nnen nun mit dem Projekt starten.<\/p><p>Die F\u00f6rderung in H\u00f6he von rund 1,3 Millionen Euro wird im Rahmen der Plattform <strong>\u201e<\/strong>Strategische Technologien f\u00fcr Europa\u201c (STEP) aus Mitteln des Europ\u00e4ischen Fonds f\u00fcr regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) bereitgestellt.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e4678a7 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default exad-glass-effect-no exad-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"e4678a7\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8d92a2e exad-glass-effect-no exad-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"8d92a2e\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2a852da exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2a852da\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Im Mittelpunkt dieser F\u00f6rderung steht das Projekt <strong>\u201eReallabor f\u00fcr photonische KI II\u201c<\/strong>, das eine praxisnahe Entwicklungs- und Testumgebung f\u00fcr Unternehmen und Forschungseinrichtungen schafft.<\/p><p>Photonisches Computing \u2013 die Nutzung von Licht statt Elektronen zur Datenverarbeitung \u2013 erm\u00f6glicht extrem schnelle, skalierbare und energieeffiziente Rechenoperationen. Besonders im Bereich K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz und High-Performance-Computing er\u00f6ffnet die Technologie erhebliche Vorteile:<\/p><ul><li>bis zu 100-fach geringerer Energiebedarf gegen\u00fcber klassischen digitalen KI-Chips,<\/li><li>extrem hohe Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeiten,<\/li><li>europ\u00e4isch gefertigte Schl\u00fcsseltechnologie f\u00fcr digitale Souver\u00e4nit\u00e4t.<\/li><\/ul><p>Angesichts des bereits heute hohen Energieverbrauchs von KI-Rechenzentren und Prognosen, wonach der weltweite Stromverbrauch bis 2030 allein durch KI um bis zu 25 Prozent steigen k\u00f6nnte, zeigt sich das Potenzial photonischer Technologien besonders deutlich.<\/p><p>Mit dem Reallabor f\u00fcr photonische KI verfolgt IMS CHIPS das Ziel, Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg und Europa als f\u00fchrende Standorte f\u00fcr energieeffiziente KI-Hardware zu etablieren. Durch technologieintensive Innovationen \u201eMade in Europe\u201c sollen Abh\u00e4ngigkeiten von nicht-europ\u00e4ischen Anbietern reduziert und die langfristige Versorgungssicherheit gest\u00e4rkt
