Ziel ist es, photonische Rechentechnik voranzubringen \u2013 also Technologien, die nicht mit Strom, sondern mit Licht rechnen. IMS CHIPS wird ein in einem Reallabor untersuchen, wie photonische Prozessoren praxisnah eingesetzt werden k\u00f6nnen. Dieses Reallabor f\u00fcr photonische KI soll im kommenden Jahr an den Start gehen und wird dann auch f\u00fcr Anwendungen und eigene Experimente der Wirtschaft und der Forschung an Universit\u00e4ten und Hochschulen des Landes zur Verf\u00fcgung stehen.
