Dabei soll zum einen die Herstellung, Strukturierung und Prozessierbarkeit der LNOI-Wafer sowie die Skalierung der Plattform vorangetrieben werden. Zum anderen sollen die einzigartigen Eigenschaften von LNOI, wie die elektrooptische Modulation im GHz-Bereich und die Erzeugung von Quantenzust\u00e4nden, genutzt werden, um reproduzierbare, skalierbare und flexible photonische Schaltkreise mit passiven und aktiven Komponenten zu realisieren.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-c108059 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default exad-glass-effect-no exad-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"c108059\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-5a0d9e1 exad-glass-effect-no exad-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"5a0d9e1\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0ced79d exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0ced79d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>lntegrierte photonische Schaltungen (PlCs) sind aufgrund der steigenden Anforderungen an Miniaturisierung, Stabilisierung und Skalierung von optischen Baugruppen nicht nur f\u00fcr klassische Anwendungen, sondern auch f\u00fcr verschiedene Bereiche der Quantentechnologien wegweisend. Konventionelle CMOS-basierte Plattformen wie Si, SiN oder lnP k\u00f6nnen jedoch nicht allen Anforderungen entsprechen. Darum stellt die Entwicklung neuer Materialplattformen sowie die Qualifizierung entsprechender Fertigungsprozesse f\u00fcr die industrielle und skalierbare Nutzung die gr\u00f6\u00dften Herausforderungen dar.<\/p><p>Die lnnovation besteht in der Entwicklung einer disruptiven und nicht-CMOS basierten Materialplattform, welche bei der erfolgreichen Entwicklung geeigneter skalierbarer Fertigungsprozesse die M\u00f6glichkeit bietet, sich von den aktuellen und teilweise starken internationalen Abh\u00e4ngigkeiten in der Halbleiterindustrie zu l\u00f6sen und fr\u00fchzeitig eine resiliente und wirtschaftliche Fertigung von Quanten-PlCs in Deutschland und der EU aufzubauen.<\/p><p>IMS CHIPS soll ausgehend von der Erfahrung in der Herstellung von PIC auf der Basis von Silizium und Siliziumnitrid und ersten Voruntersuchungen von LNOI-Prozessen eine neue Fertigungslinie f\u00fcr die LNOI-Technologie entwickelt und etabliert werden. Die Bearbeitung von LNOI ben\u00f6tigt aufgrund der physikalischen Eigenschaften besondere Prozesse, die entwickelt und in stabile Prozessfenster gebracht werden m\u00fcssen. Parallel zu der technologischen Entwicklung soll ein PDK (process design kit) erstellt werden. In dem PDK wird der komplette Fertigungsprozess beschrieben, Regeln definiert und Bauteilbibliotheken aufgebaut und zielt auf eine sp\u00e4tere Industrialisierung der Produktionslinie ab.
