<\/strong>IMS CHIPS forscht und entwickelt L\u00f6sungen und neue Ans\u00e4tze f\u00fcr Anwendungen elektronischer und photonischer Mikrosysteme im Bereich der Biomedizintechnik. Im Rahmen des durch die Vector Stiftung gef\u00f6rderten Projekts SpektroChip wird ein neuartiges Mikro-Spektrometersystem f\u00fcr die Analytik und biomedizinische Anwendungen entwickelt.

Automatisierter optischer Durchsatz-Tester f\u00fcr die integrierte Photonik<\/strong>
F\u00fcr die Qualifizierung der Wellenleiter und Bauteile in der integrierten Photonik muss oftmals der Durchsatz von hunderten bis tausenden Schaltungen vermessen werden. Der automatisierte Tester am IMS CHIPS nimmt nun 800 bis 1000 solcher Durchsatzspektren pro Stunde mit einer Reproduzierbarkeit von \u00b10,25 dB auf. Daf\u00fcr wird ein Glasfaser-Array \u00fcber jedem Gitterkoppler mit einer Pr\u00e4zision von wenigen hundert Nanometern genau positioniert.

Q.ANT und IMS CHIPS bauen Quantenchip-Fertigung auf<\/strong>
Das Stuttgarter Start-up Q.ANT und das Institut f\u00fcr Mikroelektronik Stuttgart haben eine Vereinbarung zur gemeinsamen Fertigung von Quantenchips unterzeichnet. Quantenchips gelten als zentrale Bausteine f\u00fcr Quantenprozessoren, die k\u00fcnftig beispielsweise im Umfeld von Hochleistungsrechen\u00adzentren einen Geschwindigkeitsvorteil bringen. Zus\u00e4tzliche Anwendungsfelder reichen von der Medizintechnik \u00fcber Sensorik und Telekommunikation bis hin zu Kryptografie, Logistik und der Finanzbranche.

IMS CHIPS bietet einen niederschwelligen Zugang zum eigenen Mikrochip. Sowohl f\u00fcr Forschung und Entwicklung, als auch f\u00fcr den Einsatz in Produkten. Ein eigener ASIC bietet gegen\u00fcber frei am Markt verf\u00fcgbaren Mikrochips einige Vorteile: man ist von der allgemeinen Liefersituation deutlich unabh\u00e4ngiger und Produkte mit ASICs sind hervorragend gegen unerw\u00fcnschte Nachbauten gesch\u00fctzt.
