Silizium-Technologie, anwenderspezifische Schaltkreise (ASIC), Nanostrukturierung und Bildsensorik und engagiert sich in der beruflichen Weiterbildung. Es ist eine als gemeinn\u00fctzig anerkannte Stiftung nach b\u00fcrgerlichem Recht mit Sitz auf dem Forschungscampus Stuttgart-Vaihingen. Juli 1983 vom Land Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg gegr\u00fcndet.<\/span><\/div>\nEs hat die Rechtsform einer Stiftung des b\u00fcrgerlichen Rechts.\n\nDie Stiftung hat die Aufgabe, Forschung und Entwicklung auf dem Gebiet mikroelektronischer Schaltungen und Systeme zu betreiben und f\u00fcr die Umsetzung der Arbeitsergebnisse in die industrielle Praxis zu sorgen. Als erste deutsche Forschungseinrichtung \u00fcberhaupt erhielten wir 1993 die Zertifizierung nach ISO9001 und setzten damit Ma\u00dfst\u00e4be. Auch sehen wir den Umweltschutz als wichtigen Bestandteil der Institutspolitik an. Es ist unsere Pflicht die Beeintr\u00e4chtigungen der Umwelt auf ein Mindestma\u00df zu reduzieren. Wir sorgen daf\u00fcr, dass die Einhaltung unserer Umweltpolitik auf allen Ebenen des Instituts gew\u00e4hrleistet ist und nach Bedarf aktualisiert wird.
