class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Niels Quack erhielt  den Master of Science Abschluss von der Ecole Polytechnique F\u00e9d\u00e9rale de  Lausanne (EPFL) im Jahr 2005, und den Doktortitel von der Eidgen\u00f6ssischen  Technischen Hochschule Z\u00fcrich (ETH) im Jahr 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Von 2011 bis 2015 war er Postdoctoral und Visiting Researcher am  Integrated Photonics Laboratory und am Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center  (BSAC) der University of California Berkeley. Von 2014 bis 2015 war er Senior MEMS Engineer bei Sercalo  Microtechnology, Neuch\u00e2tel. Von 2015 bis 2021 hielt er eine F\u00f6rderprofessur des  Schweizer Nationalfonds an der EPFL, und war ab 2022 Associate Professor f\u00fcr  Mikro- und Nanosysteme an der University of Sydney in Australien. Seit 2024  leitete er als Academic Director die Research and Prototype Foundry an der  University of Sydney. Seit April 2025 ist er Honorary Professor an der Faculty  of Engineering der University of Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>Das derzeitige  Forschungsgebiet von Prof. Quack umfasst im breiteren Sinne die Mikro- und  Nanosystemtechnik, und im Besonderen die Erforschung von Mikro- und  Nanofabrikationstechniken und neuer Materialien, sowie die Integration von  Mechanik und Photonik im Mikro- und Nanobereich. Diese neuartigen und innovativen  Mikro- und Nanosysteme finden unter anderem Anwendung in faseroptischen  Kommunikationssystemen, in Datenzentren und Hochleistungsrechnern, der  Quantensensorik und Informationsverarbeitung, oder der Weltraumkommunikation.  Prof. Quack ist Autor von mehr als 150 Zeitschriftenartikeln und  Konferenzbeitr\u00e4gen und hat 7 Patentanmeldungen eingereicht.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Quack ist Associate Editor des IEEE Journal of  Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (JMEMS) und Senior Editor des SPIE Journal of  Optical Microsystems (JOM), und er ist Mitglied des Steering Committees der  IEEE International Conference on Optical MEMS and Nanophotonics (OMN) und war  General Chair der IEEE OMN 2018 und des Latsis Symposiums 2019 on Diamond  Photonics. Er war, bzw. ist  Mitglied verschiedener technischer  Programmaussch\u00fcsse von Tagungen, u.a. bei ECOC, IEEE MEMS, CLEO, SPIE OPTO,  Transducers und MNE. <\/p>\n<p>Prof. Quack wurde  2024 als Top 100 Innovators in Photonics von ElectroOptics ausgezeichnet, hat  2023 den Supervisor of the Year Award der Sydney University Postgraduate Representative  Association (SUPRA), sowie 2022 den Sydney class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Jens Anders erhielt den MSc Abschluss von der University of Michigan, Ann Arbor sowie den Dipl.-Ing. von der Leibniz Universit\u00e4t Hannover jeweils in Elektrotechnik in den Jahren 2005 bzw. 2007. Im Jahr 2011 erhielt er den Doktorgrad von der \u00c9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne (EPFL).<\/p><p>Von 2013 bis 2017 war er Juniorprofessor f\u00fcr biomedizinische integrierte Sensoren am Institut f\u00fcr Mikroelektronik der Universit\u00e4t Ulm. Er ist derzeit Inhaber des Lehrstuhls f\u00fcr Elektrotechnik Bionischer System und Direktor des Instituts f\u00fcr Intelligente Sensorik und Theoretische Elektrotechnik an der Universit\u00e4t Stuttgart. Seit Oktober 2022 ist er ebenfalls Co-Direktor des Instituts f\u00fcr Mikroelektronik Stuttgart (IMS CHIPS).<\/p><p>Prof. Anders ist Autor mehrerer B\u00fccher bzw. Buchkapitel sowie von mehr als 150 Zeitschriftenartikeln und Konferenzbeitr\u00e4gen.<\/p><p>Seine derzeitigen Forschungsinteressen liegen im Bereich der Untersuchung von Multiphysikproblemen sowie des Entwurfs integrierter Schaltungen f\u00fcr Sensorikanwendungen. Dabei liegt ein besonderer Fokus auf der Quantensensorik f\u00fcr die Material- und Lebenswissenschaften.<\/p><p>Prof. Anders ist Fellow des \u201cCenter for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iqst.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IQST<\/a>), Fellow des \u201cStuttgart Research Center of Photonic Engineering\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scope.uni-stuttgart.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SCoPE<\/a>) und Mitglied des Executive Boards des Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung Center for Quantum Photonics (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.acp.uni-jena.de\/qphoton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">QPhoton<\/a>).<\/p><p>Er war bzw. ist Mitglied verschiedener technischer Programmaussch\u00fcsse von Tagungen, u.a. bei der ISSCC, der ESSDERC und ESSCIRC sowie der IEEE Sensors.
